Comics (Creators/Artists & More):
1) Mom
The Name "Kane": Bruce Wayne’s mother is Martha Kane. The surname Kane is an Anglicization of the Irish O'Cathain. Batman’s co-creator, Bob Kane, also chose that professional name (his birth name was Kahn), which inadvertently linked the Wayne family tree to Irish roots in the lore.

2) Dad
Irish Roots: The "Wayne" name is linked to American General Anthony Wayne, whose ancestors came from Ireland, solidifying his Irish connection
3) Bruce Name Connection
- Scottish Roots: The name "Bruce" comes from Scottish King Robert the Bruce, and Batman's lineage connects to Scottish nobility, even mentioning a castle in Scotland
4) A Key writer
Garth Ennis: One of the most influential modern comic writers is Northern Irish. He wrote the famous Hitman series set in Gotham and several gritty Batman stories that leaned into a "Troubles-era" noir aesthetic.

5) Key Artist
Gotham City’s look is "Gothic," a style deeply rooted in European (and specifically Irish) cathedrals.
The Irish Architect: One of the most famous artists to define the modern look of Gotham is Sean Murphy. He is Irish-American and created the Batman: White Knight universe.
6) A Creator
Perhaps the most important person in Batman’s history besides the creators is Dennis (Denny) O'Neil.
He was the editor and writer who saved Batman in the 1970s by moving him away from the "campy" 60s show and back to the "Dark Knight" roots.
O'Neil was raised in a strict Irish-Catholic household. He is the man who created Ra's al Ghul and Azrael, and he infused Bruce Wayne with the "burdened, guilt-ridden warrior" persona that defines him today. Without an Irish-American writer, Batman might still be wearing bright colors and cracking jokes.
7) Notable Character/Ally (Police Connection)

The "Brave and the Bold" Mythos
In the comic The Brave and the Bold: Batman and Wonder Woman, the story is literally a Celtic Mystery.
Batman travels to Tír na nÓg (the Irish Land of Youth) to solve the murder of a Celtic god named King Elatha.
Seeing Batman—the ultimate detective—navigating Irish mythology and interacting with figures like Cernunnos is the ultimate "subtle" crossover of his world and Irish heritage.
